"Designed by Cliff Maag of Maag Audio, the Nightpro EQ3D is the original stereo equalizer with AIR BAND. This unique EQ has 5 fixed bands per channel with a 15 db boost or cut, with a high shelf AIR band that enhances the breath and detail of the input source. The low Q minimal phase shift of the design provides a musical but transparent, not surgical or corrective EQ. If you are looking for an EQ to notch midrange or filter out background noise or rumble, look elsewhere. This EQ is designed to enhance the sound using overlapping interactive bands that shape the output with a distinct and musical flavor.
The AIR BAND is best described tuned hi frequency shelving boost only EQ that when used carefully, can bring out detail and breath in a track. The SUB band is capable of rolling in lows that can be cleanly placed in a soundtrack or game mix. It can be used on a stereo mix, keys, vocals; I've found it particularly effective on bringing out the best on mic'd guitar cabinets. It really is find to a bad sounding setting with the EQ3D, it is more a matter of choosing how you would like to shape the direction of the sound.
The EQ3d is a single rack space, dual channel (non-linkable) equalizer. Each channel has a bypass and XLR balanced inputs and outputs.
