Mytek 8x96 ADDA on Ebay

Suss? I was having a crack at this pair on Aus Ebay but just seemed too good to be true and pulled off it. Zero feedback from the seller, bidding started at $129 and she emails me to say she will end the bidding early for $1400.... (said she had someone wanting to end it early for that)

Hope it's OK to post this here as it may be useful to someone on the board. Don't know, maybe the girl is legit and someone is getting a screaming bargain for the myteks....

BTW I'm in the market for some good stereo AD/DA if anyone has some to go!

Well I'm glad I bailed out when I did on this one! The listing did complete at about 03.15am this morning with around 25 bids and the sold price being $1450 for the (supposed) pair of mytek 8x96 converters. Just got an email a short while ago from the ebay loss prevention department advising the seller has been removed along with her other items (Rode NTK mics, MPC1000) which were all due to expire early am this morning to, but all had attracted around 14 bids when I looked last....

I looked at this one about 5 minutes after it came up.. and then looked up Current Creek !!

Generally ..thats how i tell...the latest scam modus operandi seems to be use some backwater in SA or WA to be the place of the listing.

All that stuff was too good to be true...especially coming from Current Creek...you can really see someone there having a pair of Myteks for cheap ...right ?? (apologies to anyone on list from Current Creek....silence...i thought so !)

Plus.. the wording was written as only an American can... so watch the syntax.

If anyone on list gas a Mytek or any other quality 8 ch D/A... i'm after one !
