Just added a Brauner Valvet Tube Microphone. This mic is not for everyone as it is very detailed, more reference mic but awsome.
I've wanted one for years.

I refuse to let any Chinese made stuff in my house ever again, after reading about the 10000 kids poisoned by melamine to increase protein content in crap quality milk. They did this deliberately, to thier own people, plus the 20000 dead pets in the USA from poisoned imported petfood.
I think China are trying to poison everyone before they attempt to take over the world. I would not put my lips near 1 of thier mics, I was gonna start importing Chinese stuff but noway would I want to be selling gear to people which is potentially poisonous. I've heard reports of a lot of things which come from china as being poisonous, some gear gets pretty hot and will start to release gasses and crap into the air.
So the thing I find offensive is they don't give a toss about unethical business practices and they don't care about poisoning 10000 kids 20000 pets or anyone else they sell thier products to.
I'd rather go without than buy anything made in China. I predict in 5 years time there will be a disease called "China Syndrome" where everyone who owns heaps of chinese stuff will end up with brittle bones, bad skin, neurological problems and internal organ failure.
Rant over. :)

Hi there,
Jeez Heathen...isn't it a bit early in the morning for this...?? ;-)
Nearly choked on my Weetbix !!
My Chineve pre's are coming soon... I'll remember to turn them on outside,
instead of in the studio in case I get gassed !
I understand what you are saying....but when i look around...its hard to find everyday
things that are NOT made in China.
(when i was a kid in the 60's it was all Japan !)
The US and British governments have experimented on their own people too !
Cheers

Gee I'm glad it's Friday.
As well as high end audio gear for rent I'm thinking of selling rubber gloves, gas masks and full rubber suits. I'm sure these will be become useful in todays modern home studio. Also testing equipment to measure toxicity levels in confined spaces eg; vocal booth.

Sorry bout the weetbix, mmmmm good aussie tucker, hmmmm I think. :)
Anyway I'd rather take my chances with good ol Aussie nuclear fallout than Chinese dioxins. The Japanese imports are the good stuff now.
Anyway there won't be any more nuke tests in Aus, I think we learned a bit from our mistakes. I just think poisoning milk products deliberately is the last straw.
I think everything that comes from there should be quarantined and tested.
Chineve pres , catchy name and probably as deadly as ebola. :) Mmmmmm the sound of lead, heh.
