Hi y'all
Some of you will be aware of my long held dream of setting up my own 'decent' analogue studio. This is nothing more than an expensive self-indulgent hobby which I have no intention of taking to the business level but just want to record my own stuff and may be help out friends and church bands.
Thanks to those here who have helped me thus far as I am about 70% there now with regards to gear and getting it set up.
The next stage is setting up all the wiring to my PB so I will be needing the following:
20 or so female xlr connectors
20 or so xlr male connectors
20 or so TRS connectors
Installation cable 50m???
As you can guess I am doing this on a shoestring budget and so only after used gear, figuring that I will get more bang for my buck (well its worked so far)

Dunno about you but I reckon stripping/cleaning/rewiring used connectors is a pain in the arse!
I'd seriously consider getting some pre-made cables off ebay. If you want to be a bit more DIY you can also get bulk lots of new connectors and cable pretty cheaply.
Pre-mades are no go

Pre-mades are not an option as I have a TAC scorpion, Ta@#$% 48, and digi001 which all have different configs. Now THAT is a PITA. I actually don't mind the DIY wiring. I used to be an electronics assembler in a past life so it is a bit nostalgic

have the best prices I've found for the components you're looking for. They have an online catalogue, which is a bit of a dog to navigate, but worth it in the end to get an account and hard copy cats, because then you get trade prices (online is retail, I think)

The online cat doesn't have prices and you need an account to go any further. I don't think it's an option for me as I don't have an ABN.

I have been sitting in front of the tv and working at the coffee table. My wife is happy as I haven't been in the studio every night for a change :)

These are for 100, but they do smaller orders if you ask em..

Great link thanks. I have requested a quote for 40 plus postage. Well not the best quality but used Neutriks are proving to be hard to come by. New ones are way out of budget.

I don't know if you saw, but they sell 'mildly' better looking quality ones, i think they were $210 for 100 delivered to your door.
They also sell jacks.

Managed to get some M&F XLRS from Drum Power very reasonable and good enough for me thanks.
