Allen and Heath GS3 32 Channel mixer. This is the 24/8/2 version with the 8 channel extender. This desk has MIDI mute automation and its an inline style console with 32 tape returns for a total of 64 inputs at mixdown. I don't have a user manual, but they can be sourced from Allen + Heath in the UK.

This desk was made somewhere between 93 and 95 and I've had it since 2003. Its been the heart of the Bergerk! Studios sound for 6 years and I've recorded well over 100 bands with it. In 2006 I had 8 of the channels re-capped and re-chipped by John Galbraith of Studio Engineering Services in Perth. In 2008 I had 16 channels re-capped and re-chipped by Rob Squire of Broadcast Pro Audio (Pro Harmonic). All channels have been set for +4 operation levels via links on the channels circuit boards.

The cosmetic condition of the desk is very good, I have recently cleaned 3/4 of the knobs and switches so they look like new (phew, long process that was). Two of the fader knobs are broken but can be fixed with a little glue. Operationally, all channels are working well. I've used this desk basically as a rack of pre's so I haven't ever really used the master or monitor sections. Everything seems in order there apart from the inbuilt talkback mic which doesn't work.
