Can I say it first before the price comes online
"He must be dreamin!".
Actually I had one of these for a short while, I thought it was broken until I realised the threshold knob works the opposite way to my other comps at the time.
What a dill I felt - lucky the client was watching.

Take 5 bucks, a Snickers, a packet of envelopes (self-addressed, sorry) and some ski goggles? (orange lenses = retro-cool!)

Sorry, I don't know what to offer without a starting price... two Snickers? :P

Lets take a guess.
I would say they would probably want about $900 dollars, they would probably settle for $800 but realistically the current market value would be (in my humble opinion) about the $450-600 mark tops for this older model.
Snickers and other chocolates e.q. Cadbury, are no longer suitable mediums of trade now that the vegetable fat content is increasing and the cocoa (the actual chocolate part) is decreasing with the addition of smaller quantity sizes whilst remaining the same price.
Cheers[/list]

.

Dreaming about what mate? Sounds like I might have told you already what I want for it before it comes online ..? :)) Did I?
If anyone is interested they'll probably make a monetary offer rather than snickers, goggles..etc.. :) you'd probably agree, yeah..

Cheers

yeah it was, I just watched it again recently - great movie - shame the older barrister actor just died he did a great job.
Actually I apologise for my immature pricing post. When reading it again, I see how it could have come off sounding very "smart arsey".
Cheers

Let's keep it fair for people posting items for sale here. If you're interested in making an offer, I'd be glad to consider it...otherwise, there's probably not much point in posting..
Cheers

Fair comment to a degree - chocolate wars simply mess up your thread.

But I think the point being made is that its not clear whether the item is actually for sale - you've never indicated the price at which you would sell it. It looks more like a fishing expedition, get some offers in and maybe think about whether you'd part with it for the money. For buyers, that's just a waste of our time and possibly a bucket of frustration. You're the seller, you gotta shoot first and tell us the price.

Thats right. And ease up mate, because of all the chit chat in your thread, your post is staying at the top of the heap.
Can't be a bad thing. Location, location, location.

Everyone's welcome to keep talking chocolate, castle quotes over on ,my edesk thread. haha!

Senad - You gotta start somewhere - there is maybe $50 worth of parts inside - so its a good start...
Cmon this is TurtlerockBay isn't it?
Why not give a buy it now price?

Yeah Matt - I'm really glad there has been so much interest on the old great Aussie gear - surprised me actually.

I think this indicates the item is for sale..I've seen many other "taking offers" sales with no issues, so since I started the thread as that, I might keep it that way and see what happens..
Thanks for the tips though
Cheers

Nice timber table top the gear is sitting on. At a glance it looks like Kauri Pine or maybe New Zealand Rhemu. Can you post a pic? If it is Kauri i might be interested.
