Is it me, or has these gone up in price? $80 for 1 strip. I remember being able to buy these for $35.00 for 1 strip.

Lots of Watts sell 'em in Sydney. Not sure if they'll ship up North as cheaply as others though. I bought some from them last year for a desk I built.

You can get meters of it for very little if you buy a second hand computer server rack.
I bought a 7' rack for $1 from a local auction place.

I have a heap of solid aluminium strips with the thread actually in the strip. I made my own custom racks and they kick ass. The only issue
is they are wider than normal so you would need to build your boxes to suit. They are cut for 20 spaces. If you are building from scratch like
I did then they would be great. If you have an existing box then they will not fit. Got a heap there i'm not going to use.

I bought a section of this stuff recently for exactly the same reason from Factory Sound in melbourne. The brand is penn & elcom their site is here;
http://www.penn-elcom.com/Default.asp?MC=1302000&GC=600 I got a length of R0863 Rack Strip but there is more available.
Way too expensive at Altronics IMO. Factory Sound also ship at additional expense, but it's cheaper to pick up if you get out that way.
Cheers,
Richard.
