Hi guys,

I have sitting here gathering dust an old rola 66. Most people know what these are. I bought it for $450 from Mat (13thbeach) about 3 or so years ago from memory with the intention of turning it into one sweet valve preamp but instead it just sat here looking cool so now i am willing to pass it on for the same. As everyone here knows other projects always seem to take precedence and I need to liquify some assests. It powers up still and is in fully original condition. As it's rather large and heavy pick up would be preffered but I can help accomadate courier arrangements if need be.
Call me on 0439 358 766 or PM me if interested.

Rola 66
$450

Cheers,
Sean.

Oh yeah, sorry, I thought it would be at the side of my profile but I must not have set it to show up. Anyhow I'm in Footscray, Melbourne.

No worries Sean.
Just more for those interested.
I've got a Byer 66 waiting to be shipped to "The Rackmeister" - Rob Squire for mods and repair..
Good luck with the sale.

I thought you might say that Mat. I'll want to buy it back after I sell it as well. Perhaps we could just pass it onto each other as we need the money. Seems it's my turn to need the $$'s.

Well, I have two 77 MKIII's which I famously bought here on Trock, and i still need to get them going.

Can anyone chime in and tell me the differences between the 66's and 77's??? Would it be worth getting a 66 if I already have 77's???

MacGyver would know what to do.

We've got a Byer66 (same as the Rola) re-racked and modded by Rob at ProHarmonic which is an awesome mic pre/di and even a guitar amp.. doesn't work on everything but it is great on others.

Here is a pick of my Byer 77's in my previous room. Seems a logical way to go if you have a pair and it retains their portability.

They are the CBS Audimax 4440. I have a pair that sometimes gets used as parallel comps for the drum bus or one on kick and one on snare when i want them to sit at the same level the entire mix. Also use them on the stereo bus occasionally.

mmm
