WTB: Eleven Rack Availability
<Sheepishly>
OK. Originally didn't think much of this unit, but been doing a lot of research on it and it's really grown on me. Read so many user reviews of how great it is to play and how fantastic it sounds. Heard a lot of samples (through my monitors they sound incredible)
and actually had a bit of trouble the other day tracking guitars at 512 samples.
But have had a lot of dificulties ordering one. I have a birthday coming up soon and would like to ceremoniously celebrate on an eleven rack! Haha.
Any music shop owners here have one in stock?

They are due any day now. which is why you haven't been able to get stock.
We have some of the first on order and can take pre-orders for them if you want to make sure you get one.
I presume they will go quick as have plenty of enquiries and pre-orders for them already.

Geoff from Pony Music (Melb) was getting some in stock but not sure if they've landed.
Have you considered buying from an online shop (ebay, digi's online store, etc)??
They are quite a few around on ebay..
Sounds like they are eating the Line 6 gear (POD XT Pro/Live/etc)
The Fractal Audio AxeFX will be a good contender though - have you looked at one of those??

Thanks
Hey geoff. Yeah I rang you guys the other day. Actually everyone I rang said the same thing. Any day now : ) just throwing out a line to see if some shop I didn't know about had one already. (you've already got one haven't you geoff? Just didnt want anyone else to play with it yet ; ) joking.
tim I have problems trying to order from digi direct. Their stupid cart system has a problem with my adress. (tried 3 times over the years to order a pt key board. Given up. Don't want it that bad now. It says on that page if your having problems ring this address. I ring and they can't help me. Try again they say..."well...oh forget it")
I'm a little shaking on ordering this over evilbay from overseas. There's an output jack problem in amp1 output that is a known issue. And some people have been having preset problems. So I'd like to buy on-shore to make it easier with support etc.
Had a look at the axefx. It doEs sound amazing, but too expensive fir me and doesn't integrate as tightly into pt le. I'll use it as main interface and I think it will be better using a device that has it's own power supply over my Knox 2.
Ahhh a little rant about using iPhone to type. Im on sick leave with badly twisted ankle and I have to type with my iPhone. What a pain. I'm a touch typist and this is torture.

No worries Dwane,
I hadnt checked the Digi store myself to see if there was one... I had seen lots on Evilbay though..
The AxeFX looks and sounds awesome.
I'm getting one to test-run soon from my mate in the Hunter..
I had a POD XT pro in my guitar rig yrs ago, but sold it to a studio to finance an O/S trip in 2005. I think the AxeFX and Eleven Rack will eat the XT series gear..

Yeah
Yeah and I've been hearing people asking for comparisons between the two. Some says eleven is better, but it wasn't a direct side by side comparison. But I've got to admit that axfx sounds pretty amazing. Saw some you tube clips of this metal player and the sound is phenomenal! Fat and explosve, rauchy scooped tone that just wants to come out of the speakers. It would be a hard act to follow....harder to beat! But I've also heard that sean Halley play the 11r in an interview and it sounded awesome!
If digi were open to suggestions I reckon they have to get more guitar playing and less talking in their 11r videos. I'm seriously I'm sitting there watching the videos going, OK shutup and play something. We can read the manual but I want to hear everything...

I've just gotten word and I am picking one up from the supplier on Friday for the shop.
I'm told there are over 1000 on backorder worldwide with digi as they have gone nuts in sales.
Our supplier only got 9 units in the initial order. Hopefully there will be more available soon..
No-ones got dibs on this one yet! :)

I think I might wait for a while first nIC.
I have 2 SSL EQ modules that will need racking and my Byer 66 needs to go to Rob to be modded and repaired..
Plus I'm negotiating a deal on 2 V672/2 at the moment..
The Eleven rack is now about 11th on the to do list!!
