Hey Senad, bummer you are selling, I've checked out the site and it seems like a lot of passion went into it. Good luck with the sale, are you staying in Melbourne?
Cheers.

Wow this is what I have always wanted, a studio meters from my bed. You can get hammered on iced vovos, make records and stumble into bed. Looks great. Good luck mate.

And who trimmed those hedges? Edward Scissorhands? Awesome attention to detail, I love a bit of topiary.

the recording room looks like it just hit DEFCON1. if anything, you'll mesmerise bands into a stellar performance. they won't have a choice!
good luck! shame you're selling.
Chris
btw we used to live in the same complex as the studio. not recommended if you want to maintain a relationship, minimum buffer size 5km i'd reckon...

hey Andy, yeah I still can't believe I've decided to do this. I've put 9-10 years of my life into research and building this studio. I will most probably stay in Melbourne now, after considering interstate and some other options. I really hope this place gets a Loving it deserves after I leave...I'll build another one, but I don't think this is repeatable.
Thanks Kristian and Angus...and Mat
Hey Myles, the proeprty is located in Westmeadows
Yeah the hedges are nice..My old man gives me a hand with 'em sometimes..
Chris, anyone that has set their foot into that Live Room has been hooked ever since..might not be such a good thing, as the new owner will get all my bands staying there...LOL

if only it was closer in to the city...

20 min. drive is pretty close these days...5-10 min drive from the cbd, and it would be worth 3 times as much as it is here. ;) things like this rarely come up and I wouldn't be looking at a few Ks extra distance from the city if I wanted it...And, interestingly, most of my work comes in from the totally opposite side of town like, far east, south east, inner sth-east.
But some people may have other things to factor in and that's fair enough..

Would be a great setup for a screen composer who doesn't need to have clients come out all the time. Senad, there is an organisation called ASCG - The Australian Screen Composers Guild. Might be worth seeing if they have a classifieds section on their site.

I bought it yrs ago and it lived under the dining room table and then in my lounge room for a few yrs....
It soon found a better place when I moved ;-)

Too far for me :-(
I'm more of a south-east (or CBD fringe) public-transport taking kinda guy.
Otherwise looks awesome, a shame I'm not yet looking at places.

With this kind of a setup, you can even work in one room and rent the other one out for extra income (2 post guys or something) and still work independently from room to room.
While enjoying every moment I have left in the place, I still can't believe someone hasn't jumped onto this chance yet, especially knowing that the properties have gone up by 15+% in the last few months and I'm still asking the figures I was 3-4 months ago. If you think something like this may be a way out of your price range, drop me a line, you might be surprised!!

Hey Mat,
I bought mine from here...a while back, but I guess they should still have 'em..Wasn't expensive at all..
I can't sell you mine, as it's the centerpiece of my studio, unless you know of a good plug-in rug to replace it..
