I wonder if there's anything faulty with that yellow milk crate. Looks alright. I might ask for more detailed pics.

The angle grinder has better distortion specs than the B. gear.

Get in on that milk crate fast. Its vintage you know. And from what research I have found, It was held by a milk man who new a guy, who knew another guy, who's brother was in ther army and shared a room with someone else who once met Rupert Neve.
NOW THATS A BARGIN!!!

I'll apologise in advance for life has taught me NOT to be too judgemental of others.......... remember guys, we all have to start somewhere...................a fair percentage of posts in this thread could lead one to believe that a fair percentage of the posters were suffering from "little dick syndrome". People, be appreciative for what you've got BUT don't indirectly lower yourselves to piss on someone who for whatever reason has a collection of Be%#&@er gear.

Hey man, I get what your saying. No harm was intended. Just a little light humour thats all. But if anyone was actually offended by these comments then they might want to lighten up a little.
I think that even the moderators of this forum agknowledge the joke with be!@#$%^& gear by the way it displays when posted.

Hey Michael,
if you're looking for a bargain check out the ADM channels Myles is selling on eBay – the ADM gear is undervalued and would be a major step up from anything you're going to get on the Grays auction.

Matt I always thought it was because be!@#$%^& gear is so good that we don't want everyone to to get wind of this and push up prices for be!@#$%^& gear. :)

Hey Aus are you inferring that i like th german sounding crap thats made in a massive slum city by slave labour and unsavoury directors living off the toil of said slave labour? Just because i wanted to buy a eurodesk doesnt mean i do'nt know what quality gear is ay. it just means i cant pend more than 2-3k in one hit more than twice or three times a year. when you have to give up the good things to ensure youy don't lose your house the that gear just remains a dream until you are no longer in fear of that phone call from your friendly bank vulture, i mean, assistant.
I for one only want the JBL bins, and maybe the korg guitar pedal.
And the yellow neve milk crate with or without ruperts signature. i'm easy. since this pos went to air there has been a frenzy of bids. and alhough he won't admit it heathen was the winning bidder on the mattress.
Thanks for the heads up Text, might check out that gear.

Mick,
My comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just at the air of elitism disguised as humour that creeps in every now and then..............and I don't like or recommend be!@#$%^& gear ;-)

beringer is a swear word here simply because i do not like uri or his kind , his business practices or the idea that anything in this forum that talks about his stuff could be used out of context ....
i will help in no way to benifet his company on purpose at any point
just because we like to talk about his product from time to time and most of us have a piece of three of his crap
doesnt mean that we dont all know its junk.
it can be useful junk - lots of stuff is useful junk .
hell its so cheap you have to give it a run at some time in your life
but the blanking of the brand name is my idea and if reads as elitist
so be it .
it is meant to be a protest that shows that company in the poor light that i view it

...and at the risk of being flamed...
if the criteria for being elitist is blanking out a name, then that is quite strange, really.
Surely, being elitist should be determined by various means.
I have found the people at the forum to be very generous with their words and their time.
There are very kind people whom I have msged in the open forum and pm, and at all times have never belittled me despite my newby questions. If they did, then perhaps they might be categorised as being elitist.
I looked up the word elite, and there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with elitism.
I think the intended sentiment was snobbery, not elitism.
If you think about the word elitism in the context of athletes, then it is a good thing "elite athletes". So I think, a more correct word in this (forums) thread context is snobbery.
But I dont think anyone here was being snobbish either...my opinion of which I am also entitled.

oh, btw,
I have a little b&%$#*@ mixer that I use when I teach guitar, comes in handy.
And I have a b#%$@^& headphone amp which I have used in the past (not recently).
And a couple of their DIs.

i've been using my bear ringer DI heaps lately. it's just SO useful for holding XLR and TRS connectors when i'm soldering... and i've been making a lot of cables recently.
and that, i can say with total honesty, is all i use it for.
'elite'? i'll take it as a compliment... but i prefer 'professional'.

You know, I get the feeling your one of those people who like's to make something out of nothing, or a mountain from a mole hill. Lately I'm finding this great forum is looking more like G/S, now we don't want that do we?

Absolutely no disagreement on your principles from me. That said, and following Gian's lead and disregarding be!@#$%^&, there is an air of gear snobbery that pops it's head up occassionally, people, (some) probably inadvertantly, post in a manner which on the surface, shows all the signs of "looking down their noses' at anything that doesn't involve the "brand de jour".

Its not snobbery at all - Turlterock is a place to share quality - equipment and ideas and knowledge
so lets piss on them - cause they make noisy badly built crap that will end up in the tip in no time.
Unless someone want's to start a new forum called Craprock

Hmm, Interesting debate regarding be!@#$%^& gear, kind of similar to the exploitation of child workers for the shoe brand nike - some choose not to support the brand for ethical/moral reasons and that is fine as a statement, but realistically achieves little, agree with them or not, people will still continue to buy heaps of the be!@#$%^& gear even if only for ONE reason, cost.
As for being elitist, I always though the pros generally avoid be!@#$%^& stuff because it has the shitest noise floor of practically any modern audio equipment. Very shoddy considering that it's 2009 and these chips sound worse than even the earliest experimentations with the technology, and I should know I have bought and used their audio equipment before - not so much now.
Because of this, I have a general rule with be!@#$%^& equipment, I will avoid at all costs any of the B. company's stuff that passes audio as it always sounds of worse quality once passed through - so for me the only things of use are the patch-bays and MIDI controllers, guitar pedals can be OK at the cost but thats all I'd be remotely interested in and I use a fair bit of pro-sumer stuff. My 2¢ ;)

Sounds like it is time for a new thread. A thread where we can all "confess" the pieces of be!@#$%^& gear we own/have owned and the reasons why we own them. Might be like a weight lifted from our shoulders, a secret guilt... definitely some good stories I'm sure.
I have 2 be!@#$%^& patch bays, and when I first started buying gear I bought an Ultragain something... the one with the LED that makes the tube glow. I didn't mind it at the time, though I didn't really know much better, having only my Mackie 1402VLZ Pre's to compare it to. I bought it 2nd hand for $50 from the US, had it repaired by be!@#$%^& at no cost, and sold it for $75 a few months later. I would go so far as calling that a success story. I made $15 from the thing!
