What did you think of the Optro 303? How does it sound. I had a chance to buy one a while ago but never got the chance to hear it.

Was it the same design with a different name? or just something different all together?

I remember that Optro stuff now. When I was in house at AAV (became Metropolis) we had some of them out in the old store room. Mr Thirkle had a few of his inventions around the place. He used to drop in wearing shorts and long walk socks along with carrying an umbrella, even if ti wasn't raining. Didn't he invent Editron?

Yeah Andy. This one came from Metropolis. I got it from the Metrop auction.

Yes the Lee Enfield is a superb unit I have an original condition 303/25, well I don't have a license but my mate is keeping it safe for me (he has a license and rego for it). Hmmm will have to put a post in the DIY section, they don't make tubes uh I mean ammo for these things anymore. Actually we've got that covered.

But yes it has a great thump in the bottom end and a great crack in the midrange. Classic tone I say. :) Not like the new ones at all.

Aha! The I shoot and i vote redneck brigade!..... coming out of the woodwork.... With all the traffic cameras and CCTV cameras in the city, i wish i still had my 303 for the days when big brother is more up front..... Still my Lithgow 22 makes short work of the traffic cameras and is a bit more suited to camera hunting in a built up area:)

....never meant to hijack the thread, as i'd prefer to talk Optro any day. Thanks for the pic 13thbeach.
