Probably made by Master Instruments (the logo reads 'MIP'), this is a 4" x 4" unit with bakelite surround. It is a standard moving coil action and requires an external resistor network (very easy to implement) for correct VU-dBm readings.
The scale is in pretty good condition but the red section (from 0 to +3) is somewhat faded. There are 4 threaded rods integrated into the rear for mounting and screw terminals for audio & illumination bulb connections.
This would be an elegant & classy addition to any studio as a working piece or as a talking point.
