Scully 280 mic pre's

I have 8 x Scully 280 mic pre's that came with a 1inch 8 track.
Its one of those projects that are sitting around and I doubt that I will get around to getting them all going.
I heard once that Led Zep and Hendrix used them on some of their albums - not sure about that one.
Thinking of getting rid of 6 of them if there is anyone interested - Photo's ? - no camera yet.
Has anyone used them outside of their use with a tape machine?
They are supposed to be amazing - anyone used them?

i'm assuming you don't have the actual 1" machine as well? i'm still on the hunt...

Yes I do - and the heads are in good nick too - but it will need some lovin to get it going
