Yep, it's a long shot..

But before I start scouring the overseas market.. anyone here got one that they would care to sell?

I've already got a Mutron II phaser and love that thing.

Come to think of it, anyone got any interesting pedals they might sell?
(Maestro / Mutron / Vintage Roland / Colorsound / EH etc)

sooooo hard to find one of these in oz...

when i was in the states about 18 months ago, these guys ( http://www.maindragmusic.com/md/ ) had about ten of them - apparently it was one of the guy's obsessions at the time.

What are these things worth out of curiosity? I've got one.

Really depends on condition, but they seem to hang around $700US+ on ebay..

Sellers do try and sell them for more (1.1k) but I've never seen one sell for that.

I had a fantastic one with the pedal, and swapped it for a Rhode mic about 8 years ago. What was I thinking with?

Well, maybe one day in about 100 years, the Rhode will be worth $700, where as only the 3 richest kings or Europe will be able to afford a mutron bi-phase.

Hi Mike,

Your best bet is ebay usa. They come up regularly. I bought a new old stock bi-phase that had been in the original box for it's entire life. Paid around $1000 US but it was worth it. People will scoff at these prices but they are sort after for good reason. The aussie dollar is pretty good at the mo' so just buy one.

For your info the bi-phase is the same circuit as 2 x phasor 2, with a few nice additions.

mike, try contacting Global Vintage in Sydney, good guy there is pretty honest with pricing.

gee i sold my one of these for $2200 us in the 90s when the dollar was about 54cents !
i am really surprised to see them run so cheap nowadays

in a different point in time when i wasnt spending all my money on screws and acoustic rubber mounts
i would buy
one of these for $1100 in 10 sec flat !

i guess the current price what cheap plug ins did to the price of boxes that go ping i guess
oh well thats another "i am gonna get one of those back again one day box for me "

It uses opto-isolators, so sounds a fair bit different to the be!@#$%^& vintage phaser.. which (I think) is a copy of the EH small stone. (Which use OTA's)

I can only speak for my Mutron II phaser, but it works incredibly well with bass sounds.. So it's unsurpassed for funk & Dub.
Where as something like my moogerfooger or Maestro PS-1 don't perform as well on bass sounds.

On the flip side, If I run my Solina string ensemble through something like the Maestro PS-1 , Small Stone or moogerfooger, then it sounds like I'm listening to Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds / Jarre .

also it really impresses the girls that come into the studio
