maybe someone has a dead console with a good MB still?

A new one will cost you around $1600 and a six week wait (i was looking at one as well). I doubt if you will get a second hand one.

Ebay, desk from central coast NSW week before last? That's why I stopped bidding on it around $1300.
Not a bad desk even though it has a few things not working. Jands are the suppliers of the Soundcraft brand, they have none in stock, so that's the reason for the delay in delivery and the cost.
