In the market. Was going to import from US. if anyone can do for around $1000 with aud and warranty still left i'm in.

Finding a less than 1 year old Moog for half of the retail price is not very likely, best to import from the USA. If you think that you can get one landed and customs cleared with some remaining warranty for $1000 then that is a very good deal and you should go for it.

Mine is sold, not sure if the US machines will operate at 240V.

Power Connector: This is a standard AC power inlet, Use only a power cord designed to mate with this receptacle. The Little Phatty’s built-in universal power supply is designed to work with power inputs of 90-250 Volts AC, 50/60 Hz.

would this mean rewiring would be required unless i used a step up/down transformer?

I'll answer the question;

Just like it says, a Universal power supply is designed to work with various countries' voltages, in this case between 90 and 250 volts, for your info power outlets in Aus run at 230v but can vary to a small degree. So short answer is, no power conversion needed.

What you will need is a standard IEC cord with an Australian connection as opposed to the included US one.

Get that and all will be fine.

Love / hate thing I believe...

I used to own a SE1x for about 6 months, never really gelled with it or used it in any tracks. I think the basic sound, envelopes and programming just didn't work for me.

In saying that, I have a friend who has a SE1 as his main synth, and another guy who swears by his ATC... so your mileage may vary.

What about Synthesizers.com? I'd like to hear one before I buy, but they seem to have all the right bits.(and the price is right).

I have a big .Com system, those things shake the floor, they are Old Skool and a very good buy (at least while the AUD is still high). If you are in Sydney you are welcome to come by and play with it.

Do you still have the Se1? Or know anyone who does?

At the moment I have my basses running off the Arturia plugin and I wanted to run out of a HW synth for this.
Arturia sounds alright but I'm sure it could be better.

Probably looking to dump some lead lines through this too. Majority of these are monosynths ive programmed on my virus ti.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to need that 3rd oscillator for bass. So any suggestions welcome. I need it soon!

I've got a bunch of cool synths etc, and have in the past considered hireing out them, but I don't know how to approach it..
How do others go about this, especially something that is vintage / rare / expensive and fragile.
