WTB: Roland SBF-325

Just in case anyone has one they want to sell.

I have a Roland CR-8000 drum machine that I'd consider as a trade (or part trade) also, however it does have a faulty tempo display - works fine otherwise, and has had all buttons refurbished so they work perfectly as new, unlike many others.

BUMP: Also possibly interested in an Access Virus B desktop, cash or the CR-8000 is still available for trade, I have enough drum machines.

Awww.. pity I already have a CR-8000... lol.

It's a pretty cool flange, And I wasn't too desperate to sell mine.
I dunno if it is the same flange, but listen to 'dogman go woof' by underwold , it sounds like a SBF-325 being messed with.
The CV in is a nice feature.. 1v per octave too! tunable flange eh... Hunt down a Dimension D tho. (Unless you already have one)

The chorus on the SBF325 is surprisingly average sounding.. not sure why, it should be good - true stereo chorus, but it doesn't do it for my as much as the chorus in my SRE-555.

The Dim D is one of my fav bits of outboard. subtle yes, but pretty much everything sounds better through it.. I just send stuff to it and drool.

Thanks, yes, I am planning a 6U Roland rack, I just got the Graphic Eq and the Guitar Preamp, and am looking for the flange to finish. It does sound the best for my needs, very similar sound to the Prodigy (the band not the synth), I already have a decent phaser, and don't want the vocoder or the synth or anything else in the Roland rack series.

The Dimension D is great, for sure, but pretty pricey. Plus I'm running this FX rack in mono so a Dim D would be a bit of a waste.

I just bought a DIY racked Boss CE-1 Pedal which is awesome, that has my chorus needs more than covered.

That was a good price to get an SDD-330. I got mine from the UK a few years ago,
but paid a little more. I also have an SBF-325, since I also wanted to build a "Roland Rack".

Steve did a recap and general fixup of the SBF which seems to have brought back
the sparkle and intensity of the sound.

I am sort of looking for the SPH-320 at the moment. I often see the Graphic equalisers,
but do not know if they are any good or not. I like the chorus on the SBF,
but the deep flanging is amazing. I have played around briefly with the CV
control - it works but it is a bit tricky to get exact. I tried using the System 100 104
sequencer to trigger it and you have to get the range right and "calibrate"
the knobs to get a nice sweep.

I am also using the Boss Micro Rack series. I've got several of these now
and am looking for the PEQ-10 which is supposed to be a decent parametric EQ?!

Personally, I can't imagine the graphic would be that crash hot.. It would look the part tho.

I saw that DimD as soon as it went up, while it was for sale on eBay Aus looks like it was actually in Japan.

So voltage conversion needed, personally I think the less international voltages converters you have the better.

Thanks, but I think I'll wait until one pops up in Aus.

Been lucky not to have to deal with US to Aus voltage converters up to now, and don't intend to start anytime soon
