Modeled after the AEA R84,This new unbranded bidirectional ribbon microphone is sold under various Brands names such as the T.Bone RB500, PPA R-1,Nady RSM-2 , Golden age projects R1 MKII and more. Reviewers commonly note the mic’s sound as “smooth” and “warm,”
The ribbon motor is known as “long ribbon / short path;” it measures approximately 50mm x 5mm and employs an hourglass-shaped yoke that minimizes the distance sound must travel around the side of the ribbon.
The mic ships in a soft padded case, has an integrated yoke mount and unlike some of its rebranded brothers, comes with a 3M detachable low noise XLR cable!!

Hey Mark - do these have stock transformers, and the mesh cloth removed ?

Hi Chriss
yes the mesh and cloth is removed but I can supply them in unmodified form or in modified form, The transformers are stock in both types, read the blog for modification and pricing details.
in the future I will offer a lundahl 2913 transformer modified versions if demand is there and also with the acoustical modifications, but from what I understand the acoustical modifications make the biggest improvement overall !

I've seen and heard Marks ribbons and they are great for the money.
I'll be up for a pair in the new year.

Thanks matt! I only have six left and I wont be getting that type of Ribbon back for a least 8- 10 weeks so if your interested in one anytime soon...
The next ribbons I am getting in are Fat head style with the shorter ribbon sure they will be great compliment to the long ribbons.
