Hi guys,

Just thought I'd put it out there If anyone is interested in a mostly functional Roland CR-8000. Works great apart from the Tempo display which isn't working properly (just the display, tempo adjustment itself works as it should) - not so much of an issue as you can Din Sync it to a master clock such as a 606/707/808 etc, or use one of those MIDI>Din Sync converters you can get from eBay and sync it to your DAW.

Now the good news, if you've ever used a CR-8000 or 808 before you'd know how much of a pain the buttons are if they are in original condition. Like the majority of the one's you'll find on the market, this one was no exception when I got it. But I meticulously went through it and desoldered every single button (which is a very difficult job BTW) and disassembled each button, resurfaced the contacts and reassembled again - taking many hours of work to complete. Happily, now they function as new, no intermittent triggering, all good. I have also replaced all the drum level potentiometers, so no more scratchy pots.

Now for price, I'm just seeking offers at this stage. If it doesn't get what I'm after, it stays - I've put too much work into it.

Cheers :)

Richard, why not just put the price that you're after -you may get more of a response, you obviously have a figure in mind....

Sorry, I know it's just I'm not 100% sure whether I want to sell it, hence just looking if someone really wanted one.

Probably around $450. I've put at least $150 of parts into it.
