API console 2416 (1971)

Postby Ben M » Tue Jan 04, 2011 4:49 pm

Hi everyone

This is a friend/colleague's console he is selling. I'll put you in contact so PM me if your interested.
I was sitting at the console yesterday.... it's a lovely piece of work. Uptown automation and heaps of deep rich API goodness :)
The console is in Sydney and is not overly huge that you need a truck. You could probably do it in a station wagon...but it drives like a solid larger format console.

API 2416

All Vintage (approx 1971)
Transformer Balanced both input and output.

24 Channels
4 Aux returns
8 Sends per channel ( 4 at a time)
16 Buss

24 x 312 Mic Pre's (with HP filter and Phase reverse)
12 x 550a parametrics
12 x 560a graphics
4x 554 EQs (Aux section)
4 x 525 compressors
6 x Free bays for additional 500 modules

24 Channels of Uptown Automation with 4 subgroups

Lots of spares (Including 6 spare input modules)

Recapped 2010/ 2011

Thanks.

I'm posting on behalf of the owner. You'll need to sort pics and price with the owner. Price will be over $50K. Contact me only if your serious.
I'm not taking any commission etc...just helping a friend sell his monster API console.

thanks

uugh, this is pretty much my dream console.

a bridge too far right now though.

someone should sell a kidney, buy this, then let me look at it occasionally...

Yeah Dreamy for sure.
I don't think anyone's got $50K+ to spend on a console these days.

Tell you what...... I'll sell my kidney.. if someone else will.....and we can go halves.

I'll keep it here in Kangaroo Valley and you can use it whenever you like. :-?
