I should have replied to this post much earlier...
What a great forum! There have been a couple of times when I've been looking for something obscure, and you guys always come through.
While I didn't get a SP1200, i ended up with a SP12 Turbo with much thanks to Michael.
It had a few issues, a bit of bad ram, dodgy buttons, but I bought a stash of new buttons + fixed up the ram + new backlight & lubed up the pads and this SP12 is kicking along like new!
I've got a few beatboxes, but I sure as hell am in love with this guy. so filthy and grainy sounding but still with a tonne of bottom end. I can see why some people in the hiphop circles love them so much for drums..
It's gone to a good home.
