Hi all,

had a play with an Electrix Filter Factory recently and I want one.

Anyone have one of these beasties they want to part with?

I have one that is only being used for it's phono preamp section. One previous owner, studio use only. No issues. I paid $500 for it a few years ago.

One in the States looks like it might go cheap.

Cheers - eBay US seems to be the place to get them.

Would prefer to buy local (from a forum member) if possible.

Have PM'd you Adam.

If you're not on a budget I have a Mutronics Mutator I may consider selling for the right price....

Mutator looks awesome but going for more than I have to spend on a filter right now.

Would be interested in a frostwave resonator though....

Wow, i thought the Electrix sounded like utter plastic crap.. horrible and 'twee' sounding.. (Yep, a bit harsh, so sorry to present owners)

Yea, Frostwave rocks, but they seem to be hitting stupid prices on ebay lately.. prob cause they sound so good.

The Akai ones are built real well, and come up often.. very clean sounding from memory. 1 stereo channel & 1 mono

I'm a bit of a filter pedal whore.. and the Older style 'chunk systems' envelope filter is my fave, but no high pass.

A moogerfooger could also be a cheaper option from the states.. but again, only lowpass.

Cheers
Mike

when playing with the electrix I liked the tactile mangling / effecting of whatever we put through the unit - plus it's more than 'just' a filter. Seemed to me like a pretty cool creative tool - but I'm not after something to pair with a synth and don't have a whole lot of other filters to compare the unit with.

Frostwave is a different (cooler) beast again - but no stereo and a little more expensive (haven't seen them for less than US$500).
