ADM 780 Mic Pre Modules $120 each

Thought I'd sold all of these but pulled another box out of storage marked Valley People and found the ADM pre's.

Now if I could just find my Maxi Q's.

Anyhow these modules were manufactured in 1980 by Audio Design Manufacturing.

They have a discreet preamp at the front end with a transformer input.

Total gain of 88db via a 4 pole 19 position Grayhill gain switch.

They can be supplied with capacitor output or transformer output.

Requires a dual rail 20 volt supply.

Rob Squire or Joe Malone (JLM) can rack them up for you or can sell you the power supply to suit.

Edge connector and schematics Included.

These are high quality modules and are built like a tank.

Here's a link to the ADM spec sheet, http://www.brianroth.com/articles/adm/adm-780_brochure.pdf

$120 each with capacitor output. Add $50 each for ADM output transformer option. I'll have to check how many o/p trannies I've got.

Has there been any upgrades to these modules or replaced parts?

Hi Dale

These are as they came out of the console... stock standard, no mods.

They were removed from the console 17 years ago, boxed up and put in storage.

Thanks

These modules and the eq modules are excellent. I have had two pairs of the mic/eq modules in the past and though I don't have any now I'm currently racking up a few more. The mic preamps are good but the eqs are excellent. Switched gain and switched frequencies, inductor based and very sweet sounding. These sell racked up for over 1200 for 2xmic and 2x eq.

How much cooler would it be to have a desk full of them? Still don't under stand wrecking consoles to flog parts...

I'd love a full desk Kurt but consider all of the other issues with a desk. Power consumption, space, DAW integration, odd mix buss as these were often setup for broadcast not production, loads of features not needed, limited bussing auxes, maintenance. Dont get me wrong, one day I'll have one but just not yet... It is sad though.
