Starting to do some cleaning up and clearing out.

This be!@#$%^& Ultrapatch Pro PX2000 came with something else i purchased from someone. I've never used it (and don't intend on) so it's yours for $50 + post.

Has minimal rack rash and is in good condition.

These are actually a pretty good device - I have 3 of them and they've never put a patch wrong - price is good too.

I'll second that. Most 1/4 inch jack patchbays I've used even the top brands i've had issues with. The be!@#$%^& is the only one that worked perfectly for me.

Oh I did have an ADC which was better "very sturdy" but never had a proper tool to punch the leads in on the back.

As for the cost I think it's spot on as these are dirt cheap new.

A lot of these have "remote" QCP panels. There seem to be punchdown points on both sides of these panels; on one side to connect to the bantam patchbay and on the other to your equipment. What's the benefit of that? I don't see the point.

A lot of the bantam ones come up on evilbay and I've thought I might get a couple and take off the QCP panel. One often sees pictures of a punch of cables coming out of the back. Surely they must have normal solder tabs inside? The only question is whether you can set normalling there or it can only be done on the QCP panel.

Perhaps you might comment on this... please.

Yeh mine was a more basic model without the extra remote panel. You did also have to punch in wires for normalization also. I agree a real pain and why I got rid of it.

So belive it or not the be!@#$%^& is the only patchbay I have ever been happy with.

Yes, but do you know whether the inside of the patchbay (not the punchdown panel) is an ordinary solder patchbay and if it has 3 terminals per point or 5?

Or maybe you never looked inside?

OK- I bought this off Ben, but I failed to read any of the manuals, and after just plugging it in have realised it's unbalanced, which I can't really live with.

Back up for sale for $50 + post! Teaches me a lesson!

Oh, and I guess if anyone has a balanced patchbay up for sale let me know!
