FS: 1979 Fender USA Strat Tobacco Burst - Original & Mint

I bought this from a collector last year because it was in superb condition and everything was original and date matched, though because I hadn't played a Strat from this era I didn't know what it would be like to play. As it turns out, I don't particularly like the smaller neck radius that these Strats have...I guess i'm more into the larger radius (i.e. flatter) necks of Les Pauls, 335s etc.
So this guitar is amazingly beautiful and in such good condition for something 32 years old. The only thing to give away its age visually speaking is some slight checking in the form of a hairline crack in the coating, and a tiny knock on the bottom of the underside, but really, it's nothing to speak of. It's a player for the right person, but a collectable for the serious also. I had the guitar looked over to validate its originality by James Mumford. All pots, neck, body, electronics...everything is dated the same etc etc. This is as it came from the factory at the time, nothing altered.
I'll part with it for $3200. It's a shame to keep something like this when it's not getting much use...especially since I bought a '52 reissue Tele that has a larger radius and therefore more up my alley. Plus my Les Paul still seems to be my go-to...I love that thing.
This is the only pic I have off hand sorry - it's obviously the Strat lower right hand side, but I will take some close-up photos and post them ASAP. Thought I'd put this up here now anyway to get a head-start. This hasn't been advertised anywhere else yet.
