FS- Mac G5

I've just upgraded, and I know a few of you guys are still running these old buggers, so I thought I'd see if anyone was chasing one.

This is a Dual 2ghz G5, with 6 gigs of RAM (upgradeable to 8gb and it should only cost $20 or so to get there I think), and a 150gb HD. I've just put a fresh install of OSX 10.5 on it, and I can supply the install disk (it is a burnt disk though, I never had the original). It doesn't have the Airport card, but these can be bought on ebay for $10 incl shipping from Hong Kong now.

It's run pretty well whilst I've had it, like most G5's I've seen it can get a bit noisy if pushed hard, and the CD drive carries on a bit while loading programs/copying big files. Otherwise it's been pretty good, and very stable.

I had to upgrade to a newer Mac to run my NI Komplete stuff, so it's just been sitting here playing itunes for a couple of weeks. I'm chasing $150, pickup in Melbourne. Also comes with a keyboard and a great looking (see-through with red lights!), but shitty one button Mac Mouse. No monitor.
I also chucked a new 1tb WD storage drive in there at the end of last year which I'm intending on keeping, but could be persuaded to part with if someone needs a bigger drive in the comp.

I ended up chucking it up on eBay, so you guys can check it out there. Happy to sell off eBay to a trocker.

My business partner Paul is pretty interested in the G5 you've got here & ain't a member so putting in a word...

Hey Dave-

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as an Intel G5. Last PowerPC before the Mac Pro line, which are all intel based. Hence why I can't load Komplete 8 on it, as Komplete needs an Intel. You also can't load OSX10.6/7

I've just got it at my home at the moment, in the CBD.

Ahh right thanks for the heads up, apparently he'll just be using it as a media center/backup tower so would love the extra TB if you could throw that in too.

If you send me your email he can discuss it with you further but consider it sold. BTW he's in Elsternwick.

Thanks mate!

I believe PCI-X, which I think is interchangeable with standard PCI.
