WTB: Mac RS-422 Serial Cable for Chaining AMT8 and Unitor8

Hi all.

I've picked up a second hand Emagic Unitor 8 MK II MIDI unit to chain to my current AMT 8, but I need to find the appropriate RS-422 serial cable to link them.

Does anyone have one of these lying around I can buy? Covered in dust, in a boxful of old Mac bits maybe?

They have small, 8-pin round ends, like this:

Perhaps also try the local reuse/tip shops? They always seem to have box's of old computer bits and pieces.

AJ, just curious what chaining them together does? I have two AMT8's but would you need one to be the Unitor 8 to provide the clock or?

mmm ... well I thought I had one but I might have chucked it in the last move. Strange though, I still have the old Mac and the Opcode Studio 5!

I'll tell you if I ever get them chained together

The manual says the two units will appear as a single 16 x 16 MIDI interface, and I assume there'll be some clock distribution magic.

No luck on a cable so far. Thanks all that looked. Might have to improve my soldering skills...
