Racked pair of MCI JH500 modules - racked by Rob at Proharmonic.
Features include;
all transformer in and out ( jensen mic transformer, stancor line in and line out ), switchable phantom, High Z DI input on front panel, phase rev ( mic and line ), sweepable HP filter 30Hz to 300Hz, four band EQ with overlapping mid bands, Output level control - with a "cal" position for unity gain on line inputs

Price drop on BROOK preamps

Can you put up some pics and specs on the Brook pre-amps? I can't find a thing on the net.

I don't think you'll find much on the net about these. I think Hornibrook sold these out of his suitcase pretty much. Still no denying he made some very nice gear. Over the years I've used his valve DI, a couple of different pre's and his 1176 type comp. I've found all of them to be very good quality and sound fab.

Don't let the front plate turn you off these pre's. It's not about external beauty

The only thing I'd do if I kept these would be to replace both 1K gain pots as they're a bit scratchy when being rotated (fine when stationary).
This would probably cost about $6 and 5 minutes soldering.

I've bought some other gear that I need to pay for so these must go as I have enough pre's for now.

had a pair for nearly 15 years - clean and fast (amazing on kick among many other duties)

Hi they look interesting, but hard to tell whats going on in there.. Are there discrete PSU's for each channel or something? And the pre amp itself looks I.C based, transformerless, is that right?

Not sure about the tech info - but I do know they are unbalanced out

They are great little pre's, like you say.

I read it that way too Paul. I've got to say... when I took the lid off I was surprised to see such a simple layout for a pre that has such a big robust sound.
