mega vintage radio garage sale - trash or treasure??
Just got back from a crazy garage sale down here in South Gippsland - this guy has 3 sheds crammed full of vintage radio gear. It's like walking into a radio museum!! I don't know much about this stuff and some of it is no doubt shit, but I thought I'd just post this in case anything strikes a chord with you savvy T-rockers. There's a lot of valve stuff - Rola, HMV, AWA and Mullard radio sets and cabinets from various eras, WWII radio stuff, even an 'Ediphone' by Thomas Edison.
I just bought a few little things, a japanese valve tape machine, an old valve tester and a coupla boxes of old valves. Everything seemed to be going pretty cheap and there's mountains of it there.
I can't attach pictures here as they're too big but you can call me on (03) 5657 3132 or email me on machinetranslations AT hotmail DOT com and I'll send you some pics. Its on again tomorrow (Sunday) before they get serious and start offering it round to melbourne collectors etc. although I could probably drop round during the week and hassle them if someone's really keen.
Let me know ASAP if you've got the hots for any of this stuff.
cheers,
greg
