There are lots more output trannies and a handful of mic inputs

I just gave them all to chris .. he walked in via public transport and had to catch a cab to leave because he had armfuls of heavy metal ..

i will let him get rid of whatever he wants to whoever he wants

.. i am finally out of the nos transformer on the shelve in a box doing nothing till i find time operation ...

Thaanks for Txs, Rick - going dumspter diving at TurtleRock is always an eyeopener.

I'll sort through the bag over the weekend, work out what I can use and put the rest up here - convince me you have an actual project for them and they are yours (no free Txs for you just to put 'em on ebay next week, sorry). Also scored a nice lunchboxy thingy that will give the right cred to my tube amp builds, and a phase scope, just for the trouble of taking it off RO'Ns shelf. The man is nothing if not generous. The LL4901's are old school 1538's, one of the best mic trannies around - except these are hotter (1+1:10). That's $130 worth of input tranny and he just gave me 8 of them! Won't tell you what else was in the Tx tray 'til I've sorted it all out, but what if I said it rhymes with eclair?

otherwise its stuff i have had in a box for well over ten years in a hmm .. maybe one day mode

but i have realised i will never use them ages ago.. so they are just junk to me ..

I'm hanging on to 4 of the Lundhals, the Jensen (ideal for a reamp project I have) and 4 of the DYNEs.

SeanCook has first dibs on 11 of the DYNEs as outputs for some adm eqs and a Chilton console. Take a leaf from his book - he could tell me exactly what he wanted them for

The Harbuch's and the Belclere 20015s would make a great inTx for a JLM BA or GoBetween - I'm sorely tempted but I already have 8 JLM BADs. Be aware that neither is a direct fit for Joe's board, so a little kludge would be required.

The Belclere's - well, get your Neve on! Without starting a goldrush, 4 of the 10016s are installed in a Neve EV108862 card - that's a 4 channel IC based input card. Priority here will be given to the one most able to convince me that they can use the card as is rather than stripping the Txs. The MuMetal shield base of one of the other 10016's is not in great shape but the pins remain accessible.

None have been tested so no promises are made.

PM sent regard a pair of 20016's for two Neve 34128's missing input transformers.

2 x 10016 (for a Neve card) and 2 x Lundhal's (for Bo Hansen DIs) for Nath (Sammas). Done.

I am on the hunt for mic input transformers for some mic pre's I am building, the Lundahls or Belcleres would do lovely, if you happen to have any left. In sydney so can pickup

Junction, what pres are you building - the Belcleres, Lundhals and Harbuch's might all fit the bill, depending on the colouration you want and the input gain you need. Do you have a preference for PCB mount vs can with wires coming out?

Hi Chris, I am building 2 x Redd47 pre's which call for a 1:7 ... about 200 ohm to 10 or 15K Ohm. Something in that range, say from 1:5 to 1:10 should work ok. Flying leads are the easiest, but I can work with PCB mount as well. I am doing these PTP, one input channel and power supply almost done. I am also looking for 7:1 output transformers, but don't think you have anything close to that.

I'm just finishing up racking a quad of Altec 1588C transformer input, electrically balanced output preamps.
Would be great to have 4 Dyne output trannies for the outputs if they haven't been snaffled allready!

Michael (Junction), I reckon those Harbuch's are more the thing you need - the Belclere's might be a little underpowered for your project. They are yours.

A thread could be started where we each have the opportunity to give a bit back to the forum in the way of offering something.Whether it be gear, time, helping someone move something, picking someone's nose ..Yep, yep, yaddda, yadda, etc .. A little idea to go about solidifying the fabric of this little place.Not that it's not already solid .. Maybe a bit of fertilizer.

I'll throw my hat in --- I'd be cool with letting out a few cool mics to a member with an important session on the cards.

Got a reply this morning from Frank Smit, Managing Director at DYNE transfomers in Bayswater,Victoria, regarding the 8023 specs -
