Hi Rob,

I'm aware Tuchel is a company.Precisely why I didn't specify Binder.

I shall post a pic.I know of no other descriptive terms, aside from what I wrote above.Tuchel, male 7 pin.

@ Rick - The mic's an M49.The male 7 pin Tuchel connector is for the chasis of a Drefahl enclosure housing an N52t.

Lol @ that U87.Ze German would castrate me.

I'll post a pic later.

The Drefahl type housing can been seen as you scroll down this link :

http://www.drefahlaudio.com/mic/1_psu.html

Great housing for cassette style stuff.Beautifully made! I didn't buy it direct from Peter, so I have no idea of $.

I have seen that box
But I am not counting 7 pins on that connecter ?

Better give me a photo of the real thing
.. But really if it was my 49 I would be going
With standard 49 plugs
I hate the combo plugs feels like cheating

Firstly - Rick + Rob, thanks for your assistance.

Rob - Yes, old skool.

Rick -The chassis space of the defahl housing doesn't afford me to use a traditional lunchbox style M49 female socket. If you've got one of these 7 pin male tuchels swimming in a fishing box, it would be handy.I can ask in Germany, but didn't want to have to deal with getting a single tuchel posted.

Much appreciated lads!

I don't think that plug in your hand is the plug you need for that Drefahl box.

The plug on the PSU box with the N52t PSU module installed looks like a 6pin C091A socket
you'd need one of these:

The link to Peter's site was simply to provide an indication of the type of housing being discussed. Not identical hardware to what is featured on the one I have.

I don't have a pic of mine, as it's up @ Gunters. However, he did confirm that the Tuchel I need is the one in the pic I uploaded.

Thanks Rob.

Ok well that Looks like a neumann Tuchel but with the
Mating Pin in the wrong spot
Which I have a bunch of

But it also looks like the original gefel / Tuchel
Made of plastic not metal ?

Not the common plastic gefel ones
Equivalent which I have a mile of too

I will dig out both types i think it is and you can figure out which is
Which

If its a wierd 67 / 77 Tuchel ( with the mating lug annoying in a unique position)
Then your on your own

I think it's the one that fits various other broadcast ac701 neumanns
253/4 .. 249/50 But I don't have those micd so I am not sure

All that said ....yes I have
Let me go fish

My bet is this one
Neumann / Tuchel
But with the mating pin in the usual
Place .. Fits the usual panel ( shown)
But not some mics

You're correct - For Neumann broadcast - M269 etc

Locating groove between pins 1 & 6.

I'll swing by early next week.I'll buzz you to find a time that's suitable.

Thanks so much mate.
