I would suggest you dont ship general post (USPS) I just had a mic go missing posted from Switzerland, even if its registered with signature it can dissappear coz there's no trackability between USPS and Aust Post. Luckily I can claim thru PayPal, but I did want the mic.

Oh that's just a pain isn't it.
I've had most things shipped USPS in the past, outboard mostly and so far without trouble,
(some of the senders have been another matter entirely).
Personally I don't find buying online that easy at all, with all it's potential hassles.

Congratulations on the U87.A very clean example!
I routinely have items sent via USPS, uninsured.No problem to date.If it is a high value mic, I have it sent FedEx, uninsured.Never encountered a prob there either.However, I'm not so cocky to think that I won't get bitten by a lost parcel one day.
