Good console for a good price, I'm sure if the OP doesn't want it there will be plenty others...

Interesting, is it in working condition or does it still need fixing up?

Simon can confirm this, but I think the Bullet had different modules for live and studio work. The studio version is split, not inline, and can accommodate up to 16 tape returns. My vague memory and the odd picture on Google suggests it had a stereo aux send too.

Thanks for the info, just searching for manuals now. Think that probably rules this one out.

Mixmasters have D&R that fits your needs and budget.
I am a recent but fervent convert to D&R. My console is much later than the one at MM but the floating bus system, great sonics and low low noise are common to both.
If I was looking for a console today, with your budget, this would be the one. By a country mile.

Paul

And? Not for you?
You shouldn't have much trouble finding something.
Does your 4k budget mean that's ALL you have and can't spend a cent more on restoring, cabling, transportation, mods or installation? Because if it does, that narrows it down a lot and you should maybe be looking at consoles in the $0 to $1000 range.
Or up to $4k if it is next door, fully cabled (to your requirements), includes a patchbay, has been re capped in the last 10 years, has NO faults and comes with spare channels and spare PSU.
Cheers,
Paul

Another gentle bump on this - if anyone has something they want to move before the end of the year work has funds ready to go.

There's an AMEK big up on ebay at the moment in Melbourne that a guy has been trying to sell for a good while now, initially asking price was something like $10k, now down to $6k. Could probably go lower though, I've seen these thing sell anywhere between 3.5-8k.

Thanks Tristan, I think the Amek is a no go, happy to play the waiting game.
