Anyone want an old Roland S-50 sampling keyboard? I only have one disk - Slap Bass Volume 2. A couple of keys need cleaning. No screen, but it all works. Has original molded case as well. The case alone is awesome, but you have to take both. Not a shadow on todays samplers but in interesting history piece for some keyboard nerd.
If I find any other disks while cleaning up I will let you know.
Pickup in South Melbourne. PM me here if you are keen. If nobody wants it in a week or so it will go in the dumpster.
Cheers.

Argh, don't dump it!
Someone save it from it's demise haha
The case alone would be worth keeping.

I was going to say I'd save it form the skip and use it as a science project, but give it to Tyrone, he's a good lad!

Ah yes those were the days, s-50 then up to w-30 then on to s-760. I was blown away by the 760 when it came out. A mate of mine was a product rep for Roland so he always brought the new stuff back from Japan before it was released. When the s-50 first came out one of the engineers at Metropolis had it and had the start of Sledgehammer as a sample and we used to just hit the key over and over in studio 1 with the big monitors cranked and be amazed.

Ha!
My first exposure to a sampler in the flesh, I did the same. Just stood there like a zombie next to this EPS16 with a sample from the opening of "Custard Pie", hitting this key over and over...
