Hey there,
I'm on the lookout for a Space Echo, either a 101 or 150.
I'm just after the tape delay, not reverb or chorus so I'm not really interested in the other models.
So if you're thinking of parting with one of these, let me know!

Hi Mike, could you put your real name in your signature as per forum rules? Even the big Roland tape echoes seem to have gone off the boil lately and are going quite cheaply.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum.
Being a longtime owner of a 201, I'd say the spring reverb section is is well worth having.

Hi Mike
I have to agree with Jason here - the spring reverb in these units is awesome.
I've got an RE501 in impeccable condition - aside from a small tear in the tolex on the exterior. With the 3 switch foot pedal, and a couple of spare sealed original Roland RT1L tapes, all new bearings installed and serviced by Echofix a couple of weeks ago.
The 501 also has a really useable chorus, "sound on sound" and balanced XLR i/o's.
$950 for a T-rocker
Let me know if you (or anyone else here) are interested.
Cheers
Gary.

I was just about to sell my 501.
I turned it on to test it last week, recorded a bunch of great sounds using the spring reverb and it's now off my FS list.

Man, if I didn't already have 2 spring verbs and the Line 6 racks I'd pounce on that 501.

Just thought I'd give a quick update here.
I'm taking up Gary's generous offer for his 501.
I've never had a tape delay or spring reverb, so I'm looking forward to playing with this.
Just wanted to say thanks fella's for the welcome's and input. It's been a great start here!

I have a 501. The chorus is one of the best I've ever heard. You'll love it.

Gots a SRE-555 here (Rack mount version of 501) - and yep, the chorus is very very good.
