A mic designed for close mic'ing, but using no filter electronics.
A gentle low shelf is achieved by special tensioning of the diaphragm.
The result is no more roll off than would usually need to be done in the mix,
and no frequencies are lost, also no noise added, as with the electronics of a hpf circuit.
