is the sound/compression action anything like the STA?

I have heard the STA on my voice, and really liked its sound and compression action...

I have a few outboard comps here (LA2A,1176, FC500 and LA500) and can't get close to what the STA does...

is this the Meat Pie, Kangaroos and Holden equivalent?

I'd love to be able to answer that for you, but I do not have enough experience with either to make a fair comparison. I think AWA based a lot of their designs on RCA.
