No worries, I'll dress up like toady from neighbours and pretend I'm just there to pick up my pay,
I'll tell them if they just want to pay me in calrec power supplies then we'll call it even .
Thank you mate, I'll try to think of anyone I know there .

Hey Dave
If you're handy with electronics or know someone who is, I've built a full set of entirely new supplies from scratch that are much simpler electronically and more robust than the ZN.... ones initially supplied with the console. I'm happy to share the design with anyone. All of mine had burnt out sections and bloated circuitry so they really weren't worth putting any more effort into. Building new ones isn't the cheapest exercise though (and someone like Des Amos could easily get you up and running with easily replaceable off the shelf switchmode supplies).
You have a Calrec now?

Oops my long reply just went to heaven .
Yes Lee I have a calrec compact 26 stereo channel with comps on the groups .
It interestingly has a mid side decoder on each channel .
No one has their head around that yet though .
It's been gone through by an ex calrec tech and is all up and running and a cool little mixing desk,
but the 10 amp power rail is out and the power supply has become very noisy .
I'm sure it's fixable but I'd love to have some spare supplies in case one goes down in the future .
I will email you regarding your offer of schematic for a custom supply .
Thanks to everyone for help .

Good idea to get a spare up your sleeve. That vintage is likely to be on the edge of failure. I had three, two of which were faulty, one I fixed relatively easily, the second requires open heart surgery, so I bought one from Vintagetools, now back to full operation! Now just gotta get that sick one fixed so I have a spare, coz surely one will blow in the next 5 years.

Also keen on spare modules...

Thank you ..
