I'm pretty happy with the look and feel of this new bit of kit for me.. it's the 4th I've built / helped build, and certainly the best.

The displays are NOS VFD displays straight out of 1986 and look sooo sexy. hmmm.

For those that don't know, it's a supreme kick arse midi sequencer.. so many cool modes and ways of operation. wicked arpeggiators (16 at once).

This one uses a newer powerful core that is wickedly fast + USB. 2 dedicated midi in's and 3 dedicated midi outs.. + 8 analogue trigger outs + DIN sync.

I've still got to build a nice timber case, but I'll wait till me and my dad have some time together to do that.

The green buttons look like square arcade game buttons a la Midi Fighter but more awesome! Sweet! Well done.

Is it built into a roadcase? That is classy. I need to jump into some midibox stuff. I want to
build a simple transport control. How that would make my life simpler.

It's not built into a road case, but I have toyed with the idea.. Could be good. The green buttons are so nice and chunky. not as big as mame arcade buttons, but about 12 x 12mm and they are cheap and they have a real nice action to them.

I've nearly finished a frankenstein of a midi'd up drum module.. the guts of a CR-5000 (13 analogue sounds!) + A TR-909 kick clone + A digital Snare sound + A cool DIY 2 voice 8 bit sampler thats as brutal as hell - all triggerable via midi.

I just spent the last hour or so sequencing it. frigging cool. the CR-5000 with a bit of overdrive and not stuck with it's polky bossa patterns is very very wicked.

I was planning on slapping that all in a tidy 1RU case with a bunch of knobs to alter the sounds... maybe add an overdive as it sounds so good with it.. hmmm.

It's not that pretty at the moment.. 5 PCB's screwed down to a bit of timber with a switchmode powersupply. I may save pics for when it's racked up..

I'm using a highly liquid midi- 24 trigger pcb to trigger the sounds.. and after using their boards for a few different projects, I must say they are pretty awesome and nicely configurable.

Samples? Yea, I'll see if I can get around to that soon.
