Hookup Wire

Postby David W » Thu Sep 11, 2008 3:37 pm

Hi
I am wondering if there is much difference in quality with standard hookup wire.

If so what type gauge ect should I lookout for.

I'm about to start wiring up my PM670 ;-)..

The main difference is how fast the plastic insulation melts when you solder it! For this reason I often use the innards of some canare or mogami multicore. Besides advantage of many colours, it doesn't melt when you solder it.
