Ward-Beck Systems (WBS) input module. - Any experiences?

Postby Futureman » Wed Sep 24, 2008 3:38 am

I've had one of these laying around for a while now, and was toying with the idea of racking it up..

Just so I can judge how much effort & money I put into this small project, has anyone had any experiences with these?
How do they sound etc?

I've racked up a pair for a friend, i'll see if he can drop by and say some. He likes them but they are a little noisy for uber quiet stuff. I have a pair here that i'm about to wire up and then sell as i need cashola if anyone's keen.

Cool..

Did you power em off + / - 25V or + / - 24v (with 24v Regulators)

Have you got any pics? ie, did you butcher them, and just have a input pot + pad switches & HPF's or Did you just slidde the whole thing in a rack, AUX's and all ?

Regards

No racked the whole thing, easier than going the chop, and used a JLM ACDC PSU with external power transformer, for +- 25 and 48V phantom. I don't have any pics, but when i'm finished the new one i'll post pics, should be bout 2 weeks as i'm back and forth too much to get anything done in the next little while.
