Hey All,
I've accumulated a bit of crap that I was planning to do something with sometime someday.
Anyway, I've got a valve reel to reel (Portable) and a Valve record player (Portable)
& A funky valve mixer from the 50's ?
The record player 'sounds' real good, like I loved playing records on it, but the rubber on the capstan? (The shaft the drives the platter) is getting a bit old.
Has anyone ever bothered trying to turn a bit of crud like these into pre's etc?

Hey Myles, Syd Gronnman rebuilt the capstan on my Apmex MM1100, He did a great job at a reasonable price and you have to et them right or it will play out of whack. If you want to get it fixed i'm sure he could fix the capstan for you.

Who's interested in this Valve Mixer? I want to sell it.. but I'd prefer to sell it here before Ebay.
Bad news - 110v..
Good news - it worked about 5 years ago when I fired it up and replaced the valve rectifier.
It will need work.
It will need work.
It will need work.
The caps are about 60 years old, and are dry as a water cracker.
I started replacing the crazy input plugs with jacks, but then got bored.. so that will need fixing.
It's very simple inside.. al point to point.
8 input, with 2 output busses. level control for each input.
