Some good things at Aldi tomorrow...
1: Small table vice with rubber jaws $14.95... excellent for holding things that you don't want to scratch or damage. Rubber jaws are removable and the angle of the vice can be rotated.
Every DIY'er should have at least one of these. Perfect for holding XLR's, PCB's while you're soldering.
I'd recommend getting the Table Vice over the Suction Vice as you need a very flat surface for the Suction Vice to work and the suction is so strong that it can lift a veneer or laminate off a substrate.
2: Digital Vernier Calipers $19.95... forget using a ruler or tape to measure the size of a drill, bolt, thread, or any other important measurement... this will give you a very accurate readout in metric or imperial. It will convert the measurement from metric or imperial at the touch of a button. I wouldn't be without one.. and just to make sure... I've got two.
3. Bench Grinder: $29.95... picked up one last year and it gets a fair bit of work. If you do get one, make sure you wear safety goggles when using it.
Best thing about Aldi... if you don't think the product is up to scratch then you have 60 days to return it and get your money back... just make sure you hang onto the receipt.
