XLR Mounting Bracket for exsisting bit of gear

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy brackets that bolt to the back of a bit of gear with cutouts for xlr plugs?

I have a bit of gear with old cinch jones connections - i want to add a bracket with xlr's (i don't have the matching cinch connectors and find them intermittent anyways..... I know these brackets exist and actually saw one on the net a few days ago.. can't seem to find the link..damm.

Swamp industries sells XLR rails for 19" racks - perhaps you could take to one with a hacksaw.

Selby (motho) also have a lot of bits and pieces.

Hey Harry, if you're in Melbourne I have an xlr hole punch you could use to put some holes in the chassis, if there's space.

How many channels do you need? I just pulled an XLR panel off the back of a DBX 900 rack (someone has just mounted one over the top of the screw terminals). I don't need it. It has 9 male and female XLR connectors and 18 TRS (I think... they are used for Aux functions on the rack).

Who the heck decided to replace screw terminals with XLRs?! It is sure as heck easier/cheaper to install with screw terminals.

Thanks for your reply's.

I got serious and patched it into the patchbay with install cable... (pity i forgot to clean its pots first... leads are short...)
I won't need a mounting bracket now - thanks anyway Nath, and thanks for offering the use of your hole punch Andy! Ian, i have a friend that works at selby.. will keep them in mind for rack parts and stuff.

I wish my memory was better.. have definitely seen photos of a mounting bracket that you bolt onto the back of a bit of gear...
