Just wanted to put it out there to see if anyone had done any of the many and varied modifications available out there to a Fender Blues Jr Amp?
If so, how did you feel after it? Worth it or not?
Cheers

I've done one, changed the bias point so it didn't break up as early, swapped to better caps in the eq, might have recapped psu too but has been a while.
Was it worth it?? Wasn't my amp but if you have the skills to diy give it a go.

Ive heard one a few years ago that was modded- played by Mark punch (Phil's bro)
The mod included completely taking out all boards and making it point to point.
Done by Mr Reynolds (of Reynolds amps)
It sounded really really amazing!

Mark Punch could make any guitar amp sound amazing.
One of the most underrated players around.

Mark could - he is killer.
We had a good conversation in that session - and he really raved about his Blues Jnr and the sound of it after ripping all the shit out.
He also has many other amps - but this little beast is the most fave amp he has.
If I had one - i would go down this path, rather than tinker around the edges with caps etc for minimal sonic benefit

I'd probably just go for a point to point new amp.
I've got a ceriatone type amp which is great and no ripping out necessary!
