Shure SE30 Direct Outs Mod

Hello Everyperson.
I am new to TR Forum and even newer to the DIY world.
I have a pair of Shure SE30 broadcast mixers which I am in the process of turning into 'interesting' pre's with individual direct outs. Kind of just a bit of fun, no great expectations here...
So far I have found the best place to take the pre-amped mic signals before they hit the summing mixer.
I just need to decide how to include the compressor so not to waste its brutal leveling goodness, probably just leave it in line with one of the channels.
From my testing so far, the pre's actually sound quite chunky, surprisingly clean and have a bunch of gain (probably too much)...

Let me know if anyone has hints, tips... warnings...

I will post as I have developments... good or bad.

Oly.

seems like you are doing well so far!
JLM has some handy interfacing pcbs and kits that could be useful

Oh I have one of those lying around somewhere, not quite sure what to do with it, keen to hear how this turns out.
Cheers
