ok...

So, im building a 12" enclosure for a subwoofer for my car...and also, after i finish that, for a guitar cabinet...

there's alot of speaker enclosure calculation software out there....i've found WinISD is pretty cool so far, lets u enter lots of Thiele/Small parameters, however not any of the freq response data of the actual speaker.

does anyone know of really excellent (preferably freeware) software that has helped them with their speaker enclosure plans/designs? And is most comprehensive..

Any decent drivers you buy should have a data sheet with suggested box volumes. If you don't have full Theile Small parameters the software won't do you much good.

As for guitar speakers, I don't think it matters much, but I'd start by building something along the lines of any well known cab.

yeah, i've got thiele small parameters from the speaker manufacturer. the guitar cab will be a 1x12. i dont want anything too crazy. no 4x12..etc.

Sorry, (mis)read this on my phone, didn't notice you'd already found winisd. I think frequency response is determined by T/S parameters and box size so you don't need it for subs.

Guitar speaker's frequency response graphs look horrendous, you're better off ignoring them.

ah cool. i figured maybe there was software which asked for particular frequencies/dB to be entered in, to help with the design.

but yeah, so far, winISD has been good.
