I've finally outgrown my trusty single channel Dick Smith 10Mhz oscilloscope.

We've had a great time together and fixed a crap load of stuff, but with this Eventide 910 and a looming Prophet 5 Rev 2 I need something thats dual, and something thats quicker.

Looking around ebay, I see a few decent specced digital scopes that are much cheaper than a few years ago...

Firstly, does anyone have a semi decent (60Mhz+) dual digital scope they want to sell?

Secondly, does anyone have any advice for one they like / recommend?

Digital scopes are not all that great for analog audio repairs. If you get one make sure that it is fast, there is so much info that is lost on a digital trace that you can normally see on an analog trace.

On the up side, digital scopes make fantastic multimeters, once you get used to having all the extra voltage and frequency and period readouts you will find yourself using your scope for all of the things that you used to use your multimeter for.

I agree, analogue oscilloscopes perform much better for audio repairs.

The refresh rate on digital scopes tends to be too slow resulting in a lot of lost information. You're better off digging up another old analogue scope on eBay. They are much cheaper too

I ended up buying a new digital 100Mhz scope ($300)

It rocks.. Although I will still keep my analogue 10Mhz single trace for audio work.

Within a short while the new scope helped me fix a busted Prophet 5 rev2.. Stoked!
It now boots up and autotunes!
It still needs a serious calibration & tune.. it's LFO is dead, pots are knackered but apart from that it lives!
I think this synth has remained dead for 15+ years, so I'm quiet chuffed.
