Hi all
I'm looking for some good DB25 connectors. I need to make some looms to go from Lynx Aurora to patchbay - super short as it's just from back of Lynx to patchbay directly above or below it. I ordered some from Radio Parts, and when they turned up they're flimsy, plastic housing (plated with chrome) and the pins are the type that have a split down them. Since this happened, I'm now wary to buy online in case they're not the correct ones again!

I'll be using Canare MR202-8AT cable and TRS 1/4 on the other end, which is all already sorted...just need the good DSub's!

I think the ones from Jaycar are pretty good.

Or perhaps buying something like this, then chopping it in half and just doing the TRS end myself would be a more viable option...?

Having recently doing this EXACT thing to about 16 8ch looms i'd advise to go with some good quality d-subs. I tried some plastic grey ones off ebay first which turned out to be a nightmare of crappy freyed plastic everywhere & ended up buying all of them from Factory Sound. Think the brand they stock are AMT.
Great thing about the AMT's are that they're hexbolts to screw from top to bottom plate so you don't fuss about with a nut/bolt combo and end up dropping the nut, can't find it then screaming to the heavens about how annoying this is!

If you don't go down that route just make sure you get metal hooded ones, better noise rejection and just last longer. your choice of cable is spot on so why not spend that little extra and do it all top notch.

Oh and heat shrink each pin too that is if you don't have one of those plastic guide things that mogami connectors do.
